Want 5 quick and easy steps to ignite your business? We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re new to social media or already an expert, these 5 tips will help you focus your efforts to get the greatest results from digital networking.

Establish Goals

What are the main objectives behind your social media presence?  For example, it could be to stay top-of-mind with people in your database or deepen your existing professional relationships. Whatever it is, make sure you have some clearly defined goals so you stay focused on why you’re there in the first place.

Narrow Your Focus

If you’re on ActiveRain, chances are you’re already actively blogging which covers one major Social platform. You should decide how many platforms you have time to manage before you create a presence on too many. An inactive profile across several sites does little for your business.

Develop a Content Plan

Make sure your content is adding value and engaging your Social network. You may want to plan out some content themes in advance to create a coherent strategy.

Schedule, Interact, Monitor

It can be helpful to schedule your posts in advance so they go out automatically. You may also want to schedule time in your day to monitor your Social platforms so you’re not checking all day at random. Also, be sure to respond to comments and help your fellow networkers by interacting with their posts.

Track & Measure Your Success

What content is the most engaging to your network? Has your network grown? Have you received any referrals from Social? These are all ways to help you measure the efficacy of your Social efforts.
